Lazy Sunday

A few pics from my household this morning.....

Taken around midday so it was really a lazy day not just the morning. Note that Mr 14 nearly 15 is still in his pj's - that's our favourite school holiday activity - staying in them as long as we want to!

School Reunion

I organised a school reunion for last night.......

We look pretty good for a bunch of 40 year olds! I'm in the 3rd row, fourth from the left.

It is 23 years since I finished high school (Yr 12) and 25 years since the Year 10's left.

HOW much linen?!

How often do you sort your linen?

All this came out of my linen press today.

Have sorted it all into Good for us, Good will, and Good grief!

I was ruthless.

Just need to buy some of those vac storage bags to store the doonas & blankets on the top shelf.

Liam's Having A Birthday........

I had much better success making the birthday cake this time around!

Liam's comment:

"That cake looks like it was made by angels".

Nawwwwwww...............man I love my kids!

Have the BEST birthday ever mate! He is so excited because we are celebrating it a day early (Sun) instead of rushing through it on Monday (20th) which is his actual birthday.

Weight Loss So Far

Aug 30. Start Day. Start Weight 83kg.

Sept 6. Weekly Weigh In. Weight 81kg.

Sept 12. Weekly Weigh In. Weight 80kg.

Yep. That's 3kg in 2 weeks. Feeling pretty proud right now.

Brings me to a total of 10kg lost since February. Instead of giving up lollies for Lent earlier in the year, I gave up weight.

My current dilemma - I have a school reunion coming up in 2 weeks & have NOTHING to wear. Really. Need to go dress shopping.

For those of you who know me in real life, you will see me in dresses this summer. Thanks to some much needed, health improving weightloss.

About 20kg to go. Ho hum.....

THIS is why I don't bake.

Missy Megan turned 3 over the weekend.

She wanted a pink Dora cake.

I spent nearly 3 days scouring shops trying to find decent Dora cake-topper stuff.

Dear friend Bek came to the rescue with some Dora & Boots accessories.

Attempt # 1. Thursday.

only I can fail a packet mix! The boys had some after school though...

Attempt # 3. Saturday. Birthday.

Sent darling hubby to buy me unfilled sponge from Woollies & I decorated it.

I should have known.........

This is the cake my beautiful mother in law bought.

Insert frustrated scream here.

Disclaimer: I did know she was bringing a cake but I also wanted a home made one.

A bit overwhelmed with the whole singing thing. And yes that is a cheesecake that my hubby bought - obviously he has great confidence in my baking skills too thought he would cater to everyone's taste - my cake was on the table, just not in this photo.
