Where I call myself Anti-Social

I was chatting online to a friend the other night & was telling her how bad I feel for being anti-social & not getting out to see people. Thankfully, she understands how busy life can be. Hers is busy too.

I'm not claiming that I am the busiest person that ever lived, but I thought I would share a snaphsot of my life. The above photos are my calendar pages for the next 2 months, starting today. These are the commitments we already have. There are a couple of social occasions I haven't put on there yet. Somewhere in there I need to fit washing, cleaning, shopping, cooking and actually playing with the kids (& my hubby!). And it doesn't allow for other stuff that we don't get much notice about. I think we have 3 days that have nothing written on them.

So, if you invite me to something & I say I can't come, please don't be offended - it means I have earmarked that time to spend with my family! Or it clashes with my schedule. I work nights, therefore I have to be home during the day to wash, clean, shop and cook. The things many Mums catch up on at night time. But please, still invite me, because it is also important for me to see my friends. And one day, our schedules will match up. But it will have to be a quick visit!

How's your schedule looking?

CEO, mate.....C....E....O

I have always said that whilst my husband may be the President of this household (yes, I am a bit if a traditionalist like that), I hold the positions of Secretary and, more importantly, Treasurer.

In other households, the wife may call herself Chief Cook & Bottle Washer, Domesetic Goddess, Maid, Taxi Driver, Minister for War and Finance (thanks Candace!) and a host of other titles.

Today, I decided to give myself a promotion.

I am now the CEO. I don't care that my office is a laundry. I am the C freakin E freakin O! I think I've earned it.

What do you call yourself?

From the Hands of Babes......

We went to Playgroup today. One of the little girls (she turned 4 two days ago) was asked by her Grandpa to build a tower with the wooden blocks.

Here's what she made:

It brought tears of pride to our eyes.

It is the absolute epitome of what we are about. We are hoping to be able to use it as our "logo".

The building blocks are our kids - the building blocks of the future, and the Cross represents the Catholic faith, which is how our group started - we are a parish based playgroup, however we would never exclude anyone who is not a member of our parish.

Those of you who know me will know that I don't push my religion onto others. I believe that anyone can believe or not believe in whatever they want to. But I couldn't resist sharing this!

Dressing to your age.....

Spotted a woman at the shops today......

In her 50's......

Bleach blonde hair......

Low slung / low waisted jeans, tight....

Short knitted top.....

I could see her joey pouch.......you know, the loose bit of skin we that we loved when it was a pregnant belly but now hate because it is shrunken stretchmarks?

It wasn't a good look.

Seriously, at what age should you start to "dress your age"?
